I got this space before I had the time/inspiration to know quite what to do with it. I’m going to try it out as a record of educational resources.
If you are a homeschooler/unschooler- Welcome! I am a formerly unschooled student who started at a community college and eventually completed a Bachelor’s in microbiology and a Ph.D. in molecular medicine. I’m going to try to catalog some internet resources for students who are interested in science. I found The Teenage Liberation Handbook, and loved it for most subjects, but found it relatively lacking for science. I also remember back in the relatively early days of the internet, where web-rings and searches on ERIC were all I had to go off of. Now there’s been an explosion of scienceblogging and all manner of other resources that could serve as great ways to learn science independently. I’m also hoping that at least some of what I write about here lasts long enough for me to make use of it with my own kid (who is 2 now).
If you are a scienceblogger who has followed me here for my snarkery, this is not the blog you’re looking for.
